It is conference season and now is the time to begin planning out which conferences you plan to attend and which you’re going to have to miss. To help make your job easier, here is some basic information about some of the most important industry conferences and events.

BlogWorld 2010

Date: October 14-16, 2010
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Price: $50 for an exhibit only pass up to $1195 for full access

BlogWorld 2010 is a type of new media conference with workshops, events, and other activities covering blogging, social media, podcasts, video content, monetization, and more. If you’re doing business in today’s Web 2.0 world, BlogWorld will have something for you.

There are several different events at BlogWorld 2010 including the main conference, a Social Media Business Summit, and the New Media Expo. While social media topics will be covered at BlogWorld, if you’re interested in all social media all the time, the Social Media Business Summit would be a better choice.

Just one month after BlogWorld 2010 ends, PubCon Las Vegas 2010 begins. While there may be some overlap in topics discussed at BlogWorld and PubCon, PubCon will have a stronger emphasis on search engine topics due to its SEO-geared roots. The conference is ideal for anyone from bloggers to SEO consultants that want to fine-tune their site and their services.

Workshop topics on this year’s agenda include Real World Low-Risk High-Reward Link Building, Content Marketing Optimization, Affiliate Transparency and Increasing Pay Outs, and Tools for Competitive Intelligence.

BlueGlass Florida

Date: November 2-3, 2010

SES Chicago

Date: October 18-22, 2010
Location: Chicago, Illinois

The Search Engine Strategies (SES) Chicago event will feature more than 70 sessions for marketing and search engine optimization professionals. Workshops will cover PPC management, keyword research, SEO, link building, duplicate content, video optimization, site usability, and more.
